Resident Community Use of Racketeer — Dedicated Community Access for Wesley Estate Residents
We are pleased to introduce Resident Community Use of Racketeer, providing structured weekly access for residents of the Wesley Estate every Monday.
This initiative forms part of ongoing local engagement and reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that facilities located within the neighbourhood deliver clear, practical community benefit.
Community Access Overview
Available: Mondays only
Eligibility: Wesley Estate residents
Session length: 1 hour per booking
Booking: Mandatory via the Wesley Community Website
Use type: Non-commercial community participation
All sessions must be pre-booked. Walk-ins are not permitted.
Purpose of the Initiative
The programme has been established to:
Support resident wellbeing and active participation
Promote fair access to local facilities
Strengthen community integration
Deliver measurable social value
This is a structured community access arrangement, operating alongside Racketeer’s standard commercial activity.
Responsible Use
Participants are expected to follow common-sense standards, including:
Arriving and leaving within allocated time slots
Respecting staff, facilities, and other users
Using the venue safely and appropriately
Misuse or non-compliance may result in suspension of access to protect the programme for all residents.
Commitment to the Community
This initiative ensures Wesley Estate residents benefit directly from facilities located in their immediate area. It represents a practical step toward inclusive place-making and long-term community engagement.
Venue Policy and Common-Sense Expectations
To ensure the experience remains positive for everyone, all participants are expected to observe a set of common-sense principles.
Residents must:
Arrive on time for their allocated slot
Vacate promptly at the end of the hour
Treat staff, facilities, and other users with respect
Follow all venue safety guidance
Use the facility responsibly and appropriately
Residents must not:
Overstay booked sessions
Transfer bookings to non-residents
Use sessions for commercial purposes
Engage in unsafe or disruptive behaviour
These expectations are not intended to be restrictive. They exist to protect continued access and ensure the programme remains viable long term.
Safeguarding and Responsible Use
Safeguarding remains a priority.
Where minors are present, appropriate supervision must be maintained at all times in line with venue policies. The Wesley Community reserves the right to suspend or review access should behaviour fall below acceptable standards. This ensures that community access remains safe, inclusive, and sustainable for all users.
